International Airlines Group (IAG) provides the tech infrastructure to all IAG operating companies, including British Airways and IAG Cargo. It needed to scale automation capabilities rapidly to support the growing demand for new solutions. So Amarjit Bahia, Head of Software Engineering, turned to TQA and UiPath Test Automation to make it happen.

Key Technology

We got started because British Airways had been working with TQA to build robotic process automations. The demand for automation grew rapidly during lockdown. One of the key things we needed to do was deliver innovations faster to our [internal] customers. UiPath Test Suite seemed like the obvious way to allow us to scale the capability, both internally to support more robotic process automations, and to extend ourselves to continuous delivery across the entire group.

In three to five years' time, we won't be doing a release every quarter; we'll do a release two or three times a day. If we see an innovation the customers like, it will be there by the end of the day—we're not waiting six months. I think it's going to be a really exciting 12 to 18 months coming up.
